Visit To Olive Hills Estate...

On a recent trip to Rutherglen we stumbled upon this lovely property...
This is the charming old shed where you can taste and purchase the estates wine,
 or it can be hired out for functions.

The view over to the old house as you come up the drive.

The outdoor entertaining area, the brick structure is a kind of fire place...

What's On My Kitchen Bench...

Cold meats made in the traditional method from  Wisla - a Polish delicatessen in Dandenong.
Blood Sausage, Pancetta with Chilli,  Hot Smoked Ham and a Polish version of Cabana.

Minni Eggplants.

Cauliflower, Tomatoes, Capsicum, Potatoes and Corriander.
Yum....

What's On My Kitchen Bench...

Just ready for Easter, a nest made from Twigs, Ivy, old Pine Needles and Moss.
Something for my Kitchen Bench.

Playing With Mayo...

Crush 1 1/2 tablespoons of Wasabi Peas in a Mortar and Pestle....

Combine with the same quantity of home made Mayo...
Tomorrow I'll know if it's got much of a kick!

I recently went to an auction in Hughesdale...such an amazing restoration ....
The old facade such a classic.

Beautifully restored front rooms.
