The Sunrise Over Angkor Wat...

On the 2nd of January, Rob and I got up at 4.30am
and headed off to Angkor Wat
 to watch the sunrise.
Our Taxi Driver recommended a little temple site
named Phnom Bakheng, that gives a good view.
After purchasing  tickets we headed off
up a bit of a dirt road track, in the pitch black
 with only the light from my mobile phone.
After about 15 min we arrived at the summit
and waited for the Sunrise.

It was a lovely cool morning,
and although it was a bit misty the view was spectacular.

Although there were swarms of tourists all heading for the main temple,
 where we were there were only a few,
so it was
much more peaceful.
