Cake Shop in Paris...

In one of the beautiful arcades in Montmarte, we found a georgous cake shop, where we went of afternoon tea.

Lookng into the display case.
There's lots to choose from.

It's almost impossible.
I chose this delicious orange tart.

And Marg chose this nutty slice.

With coffee of course.

My Trip Advisor...

In Edinburgh, we stayed at the 'Edinburgh Explorer' serviced apartments, which were fabulous.
Great location, and a lovely place to get your bearings, right in the middle of town.
(I'm biased because Grant did the renovating... and Alex helped with the furnishing, well done both of you!)
The lounge room.

Gorgeous lounge suites.

View across the road.

Attention to detail,  (thanks Cedric).

 Buildings directly opposite.
The kitchen.
And shuttered windows.

Street name ... (Royal Mile)....

The actual Royal Mile.

The apartment is on the second floor (above the arched windows),
access through the door between the telephone boxes at street level.
There they are.

Just me and the camera in one of the three bedrooms.
(It's a mirror image that's why the spellings wrong.)

Passage Au Paris...

Or as we would say Arcades of Paris.
During our stay in Montmarte, we discovered some of the most charming arcades.
A cross between the 'Strand' and the 'Block'.

One of the entrances,
(there were three in a row, continuing on over the roads ).

Have to be one of the strangest shops, but interesting.

This arcade housed lots of restaurants, and we tried two of them.

Window shopping.

Organics in Edinburg...

Friday 2 weeks ago, Alex took me out for breakfast at her favourite organic cafe in Edinburgh.
The whole thing was amazing...and I couldn't help but think of how much Marj would love the pumpkins

Late Afternoon On The Terrace,

While in Umbria, we sampled the local produce, beautiful tomatoes,
delicious cheese, fresh herbs, and white wine.

The ancient graprvine, provides a screen, and delicious fruit.

Simple but sublime.

The terrace, and the fig trees, also with delicious fruit.

Water Fountains In Assisi...

On a hot day, there's nothing as refreshing as a cool splash of water.
These were a couple of fountains that we passed.
