Looking Back At Paris...

One of our favourite places was Sainte Chapelle, such beautiful stained glass.
The Upper Chapel is such a delight it was exquisite.

The upper chapel, with it's glorious Gothic windows streaming with light.
The rose window with candelabra , and a hint of the surrounding architecture.
Window detail...(it's all so jewel like.

This gives you an idea of the level below the glass, lots of panels and sculptural features.
All the walls are like this.
Looking up at a panel, (you are forever looking up).

More detail.

Good night to the upper chapel.

Another Look At Rome...

My photos of the Trevi Fountain.

It was packed with tourists, but we managed to get down to the water.

Beautiful sunny day, with lovely clear cool water.

Panel from up the top...if your latin is up to it.

And again.

Friday Night Means Candle Light....

I love candles any time, but at the moment their soft flickering seems to whisper Christmas.

Lots of light on the dining room table.

Look who's on the bench...

She wants to be where all the action is...don't we all.

Daisies...

I was given this beautiful country jug, to add to my collection.
It's just perfect with a bunch of daisies.

Almost looks like enamel ware.

The bowls not empty...it's full of love.

(This is the second week of advent and the theme is Love.)

Old Fashioned Roses...

The colour the perfume the old world charm, you can't beat them.

Such rich colours.

So charming.
Petals softly falling.

And a beautiful bowl of cherries, what's not to like.

Thanks to Marj, for styling, and Zoe for the beautiful blooms.

It's all about love...

And having breakfast.

Egg in Pita Bread with herbs, and Black Coffee.

Morning Coffee....

This morning for breakfast I'm having coffee...

I'm actually not hungry for the croissant, but I'd like a bit more hope.

My Kitchen Bench This morning...

The light is really great.

Simple flowers and shapes,
 in the bright morning light.

Friday Night Fare....

Something easy, just make a mustard béchamel sauce and add everything else.
Warm croissant with creamy mustard sauce, corn, potato, bacon and cheese.
With broad beans on the side.
Not bad...just try to get a croissant that isn't sweet.

Birds In The Back Garden...

Lately around dusk, there have been two young Tawny Frog mouth Owls sitting on the bough of an old Gumtree.

They look so cute snuggled up together.

So fluffy, and with such funny eyes.

Back to the Garden...

This afternoon on my way home from work I stopped in at the Church Garden and picked a bag of goodies.

And when I got them home they looked like this.

Sorted out ready to go...

So I made Stuffed Zucchini Rolls...
Grilled Zucchini slices, wrapped around spinach and bacon filling, with a Tomato Pasata.

Dinner for one, again.
It was still delicious even by myself.
