It's Begining To Look A Bit Like Christmas...

Decorations are starting to appear...

Visiting Marjs'....

Just a bit of a look at her beautiful home.

A comfy corner.

The back room.
Twisted Willow, a birds nest and fairy lights.

Rosy detail.
Light fitting detail.

The laundry window sill.

Daisies...

I was given this beautiful country jug, to add to my collection.
It's just perfect with a bunch of daisies.

Almost looks like enamel ware.

The bowls not empty...it's full of love.

(This is the second week of advent and the theme is Love.)

Old Fashioned Roses...

The colour the perfume the old world charm, you can't beat them.

Such rich colours.

So charming.
Petals softly falling.

And a beautiful bowl of cherries, what's not to like.

Thanks to Marj, for styling, and Zoe for the beautiful blooms.

It's all about love...

And having breakfast.

Egg in Pita Bread with herbs, and Black Coffee.

Morning Coffee....

This morning for breakfast I'm having coffee...

I'm actually not hungry for the croissant, but I'd like a bit more hope.

My Kitchen Bench This morning...

The light is really great.

Simple flowers and shapes,
 in the bright morning light.

Friday Night Fare....

Something easy, just make a mustard béchamel sauce and add everything else.
Warm croissant with creamy mustard sauce, corn, potato, bacon and cheese.
With broad beans on the side.
Not bad...just try to get a croissant that isn't sweet.

Birds In The Back Garden...

Lately around dusk, there have been two young Tawny Frog mouth Owls sitting on the bough of an old Gumtree.

They look so cute snuggled up together.

So fluffy, and with such funny eyes.

Back to the Garden...

This afternoon on my way home from work I stopped in at the Church Garden and picked a bag of goodies.

And when I got them home they looked like this.

Sorted out ready to go...

So I made Stuffed Zucchini Rolls...
Grilled Zucchini slices, wrapped around spinach and bacon filling, with a Tomato Pasata.

Dinner for one, again.
It was still delicious even by myself.

More Ideas With The Sandwich Press...

It's just something that's worth a try...
Eggplant, Pumpkin,  Red Capsicum, and crunchy bacon stack.
Grill slices of the vegetables on your sandwich press.

Until they look a bit like this.

As they are done place them in a container with some dressing.
I've used Olive oil, Balsamic Vinegar,  some herbs from the garden and Garlic.

When you've done enough, arrange them in layers, with the Bacon broken up through it as well.
Pour over any remaining dressing, and garnish with (you guessed it ).
Blue Costello.

I enjoyed mine with some toasted Baguette...Yum.

Reflection....

Candles floating in the bird bath,
make a nice reflection.

Grilled Vegetables...

Well actually they were all cooked in a sandwich press...
Slices of Eggplant, Zucchini, and Red Capsicum, all cooked in the sandwich press.
Then layered together with some crumbled Feta, and olives.
I just re heated it all for a minute in the Microwave.

Dressed with some olive oil, Balsamic vinegar and salt and pepper.

Dinner for one in the first week of advent.

Click if you want to know more.

Any way these were the pics I took on a beautiful sunny morning in Paris.

View of the gate.
Part of the detail, so much gold.

Such a beautiful blue.

Beautiful lamps.

So much bling.

Looking through the bars over to Saint Chapelle.
