Looking back at Scotland...

Some of the buildings I saw in Edinburgh, and can't you just feel the winter chill creeping in?

This was from our walk on the first day, we had to go to the opp shop and buy scarves, hats and umbrellas.

I think this church is on the Royal Mile.

Pretty stone terrace houses.

Looking down the Royal Mile, light and shade.

The castle.

View from the Museum.

View from North Bridge.

More from North Bridge.

One of the Hotels.

This was actually in Glasgow.

This was part of the University in Glasgow.
And we did go and look at the Roman exhibition.

Vintage Shopping In A Vintage Car.

Lib, Mardi, Anna, and I, went on a vintage shopping tour of Bendigo in a fabulous vintage Chevrolet, I think it was from 1947.
Anyway we could hardly fit into the back seat, and consequently laughed ourselves stupid.

A happy customer.

Too much fun.
Look how tiny it is.
Still too much laughing.
(we realy recomend the service, book them up if your in Bendigo, they have all sorts of tours.)

Back to Vaughn Springs, one year on...

Yesterday I was on my way to Bendigo, and I took a detour to Vaughn Springs.
I visited the cemetery for the anniversary of Johns' burial.

Thankfully a different sort of a day in lots of ways.
It was the sort of quiet where you hear the birds really loudly. And you notice the soft breeze and the sun falling softly on your face.

Very peaceful.
The view looking back towards the road.

Such a beautiful bush setting
The view looking straight up.

Soft grass, and native flowers, in the late sun.

I made a  bush wreath out of what was at hand.

John's mums' headstone.

And his dads' headstone, they were made from the same piece of rock.

I had intense feelings of happiness and sadness all at the same time, which seems a bit confusing, but it was OK.
Thanks to everyone for your support and friendship over the last 12 months.
