Remembering Venice...

Sandie showed me a pic of Venice today and it brought back memories of a beautiful city.

here on my kitchen bench.

Another Paper House...

Make a pattern and cut it out. Leave little tabs on the sides where you have to glue.
Then use the pattern to cut out the house from some heavy paper.
Paste paper squares over the back of the windows, and pin prick them (to diffuse the light).
Then stick it all together.

I used the LED tea lights, which look really sweet glowing in a dark corner...

Instant Garden...

A pot of Daffodills and a pot of Hyacthins.
Just sitting in a basket that I lined with plastic, and then wedged screwed up newspaper around them,
 to keep them stable,  finished with a layer of Sphagnum Moss.

This afternoon I've had a lot of fun drawing on some china with a special craft paint.
I'm pleased with the results.

Paris Opera...

I was talking with friends about our trips to Paris,
 and It made me think of digging out some photos of the Paris Opera.

What's For Dinner...

Pan fried chicken breast, with sautéed mushroom capsicum and zucchini
 and ricotta and chili jam sauce.
With salad.

(The ricotta and chili is a great simple sauce.)

Memories Of Rome...

The top pic is near the Spanish Steps, the one with the fountain is in a courtyard at the National Gallery.
And the bottom left is another one f the familiar streets where we often ate.

Last week I watched a couple of episodes of Master Chef,  they were in Italy.
 It made me nostalgic for that beautiful country.

On the drive home we saw such beautiful scenery, and the Strathbogies at sunset was no exception.

On the way up to Sydney we turned off at Merton and drove over the Strathbogie Ranges in the early light.
It was just beautiful.
